What is Synchronous Learning?

Synchronous Learning - A learning event or process that allows a group of students to engage/learn at the same time.

Why we talk about this at Chalkup

This concept is important, especially with distance learning programs. Think of a lecture; this is an example of synchronous learning in a face-to-face environment. Learners are locked in and getting the same learning experience at the same time. But what to do when a class can't be together?

Chalkup was built to help solve this problemEdtech has broadened the scope of what synchronous learning can do. We finally have web conferencing tools like Skype that can connect students and allow for these synchronous learning experiences, even at a distance.

Keep your school on the same page.
