What is Formative Assessment?

Formative Assessment  - A branch of assessment that continually monitors student learning and informs an instructor's understanding of what a student knows; it informs teacher decisions about moving forward.

Why we talk about this at Chalkup

We dig continual, quality feedback. And we're curious about how technology can help instructors - either formally or informally - map student learning, make decisions about what to do next, and provide that quality feedback.

There are huge opportunities there, and we're interested in hearing from classrooms about how edtech can help.
